Stephanie

Stephanie Francke (1989) is a saxophone player and composer based in Rotterdam. In 2012 she graduated from the Conservatory of Rotterdam and was awarded the prestigious Erasmus Jazz Prize. Soon after that, she released her first album ‘Florigen‘. This album marks the debut of the Stephanie Francke Quartet which later released their second CD ‘Ripples’. Stephanie played at a number of major festivals and venues in The Netherlands such as the BIMHUIS and the Lowlands Festival. Her quartet made appearances at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2013, De Doelen, Jazz in Duketown and North Sea ‘Round Town. She was also selected for the finals of the European Jazz Competition and Dutch Jazz Competition. In 2013 Stephanie was invited to do a Carte Blanche concert called ‘The Pack Project’ in Lantarenvenster Rotterdam during Festival Jazz International Rotterdam. Nowadays she plays all over the country with Spoken, jazz-quintet HENK and various bigbands and other projects.


Stephanie Francke (1989) is een saxofoniste en componiste uit Rotterdam. In 2012 studeerde ze af aan het conservatorium en was zij winnaar van de prestigieuze Erasmus Jazzprijs. Sindsdien speelde ze al op vele podia waaronder het North Sea Jazz Festival, Lantarenvenster en het BIMHUIS. Vlak na haar studie stond ze in de finale van zowel de Dutch- als de European Jazz Competition. Ook bracht ze in de afgelopen jaren twee albums uit met haar eigen groep getiteld Florigen en Ripples. Momenteel speelt ze onder meer met saxofoon kwartet Spoken, jazz quintet HENK en bij diverse bigbands en andere projecten.
